Lace Front Unit and Interlocking Hair Weaving System™

What is the Lace Front Unit?

A Lace Front Unit fits from the front of the forehead to the crown of the head. Lace front units are added to a net weave, making the weave look more natural. You can wear your hair off your face without any problems, gluing or taping it on to your forehead.

The Lace Front Unit can be done in the front of someone with a very high forehead or with a hair loss problem in the front. A weaving could be done in the back of the head with the netting, as seen in these pictures.

What is a Lace Front Wig?

A Lace Front Wig is a full unit with fine netting in the front and the hair is hand tied in a single knot all over.  It looks very natural as it has a real hairline when it is glued to the forehead. You may use 2 types of bonding: double-sided tape or ultra hold water glue. These wigs are very popular, but there's a lot to keep in mind before ordering a lace front wig.

It looks natural, but if you have oily skin around your forehead, the tape or glue will lift off faster. To avoid this happening, you should first clean your scalp with rubbing alcohol and/or dust with talc to absorb the excess grease, before applying the Lace Front Unit to your forehead.

How Long Will It last?

With proper care, it can last for 3 to 6 months. Lace front wigs come in one size only. To avoid having a wig that's too small or too large, we recommend that you order a custom-made unit, which must be ordered in the salon.
